Job Description
Responsibilities- Responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
- Determine systems, establish, and enforce best practices for test driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Create design proposals for review with internal stakeholders and pair with technical leads on implementations.
- Enforce code quality and test coverage standards.
- Research, design, test, and evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions.
- Have passion for development and a strong background in building dynamic, high-volume web applications with Java.
- Drive projects that are planned and executed using the Agile development methodology.
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Determine operational feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Improves operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies, Procedures and practices.
- Drive the adaptation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development principles by the team.
- Perform periodic on-call duty as part of a global development and operations team.
- Coordinate and communicate with impacted stakeholders and clients, escalating where appropriate, demonstrating technical leadership in incident management.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- 5+ years of Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, multiple JVM based languages, Java is a must.
- Strong background with multi-threading, event-based software architecture.
- A solid understanding of web development and database technologies: RESTful Services, Microservices architecture.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying Micro-services to variety of cloud architectures.
- Strong background in distributed systems.
- Advanced knowledge of creating and managing GIT flows, in line with CI/CD/CD best practices.
- Experience with concurrent programming, Java memory and multi-threading models
- Experience using NoSQL data-sources, In-memory data grids and Strong Database skills.
- Strong knowledge of Agile development methodology, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Test Automation.
- Advanced knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes (Maven/Gradle), testing, and operations.
- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum and related tools.
- Experience with alternate JVM languages (Groovy/Grails, Scala, Clojure, etc.) and GO Lang is a plus.
- Experience in Designing and Building Reactive applications is a plus
