We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with application migration to Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and private cloud VMware/HyperV/HCI e.g. Nutanix.
Position: Project Manager / Infrastructure Project Manager (Cloud)
Experience: 6 -15+ years
Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad/Chennai/Pune/Mumbai
Skills & Experience:
- Were looking for candidates that are hands on and resilient; individuals who are able to work autonomously and are flexible and adaptable, able to manage the challenges of day to day projects management.
- Must have very good experience in Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring, Stakeholder Management, Vendor Management
- Proven experience of managing and successfully delivering a portfolio of medium sized projects at the same time or a complex larger project of significant value.
- Experience of matrix resource management across geographies and time zones.
- An effective communicator who is able write and present credible documents and presentations.
- You will be expert at managing project financials and calculating costs and margins with experience of managing month end cycles and client facing financial activities.
- You will have a proven track record of project planning and the management of progress, resources and cost on multiple projects
- You will have a strong working knowledge of commercial management and in-depth understanding contracts you are responsible for delivering,
- You will have a proven ability to ensure projects delivered are accepted into run either with internal or external support teams.
- You will need the ability to develop meaningful relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
- You will have proven experience of leading the development of statements of work and larger bids and be able to demonstrate growing client business.
Domain Experience:
The client operates in multiple sectors, telecommunications, media & technology, energy & utilities, financial services, manufacturing, consumer goods & retail and you will have prior of experience of delivering the types of projects for clients in these sectors:
- End User Services / End User Compute Windows 10 upgrades, MS office suite and migration to Office 365.
- Infrastructure and Cloud Services
- application migration to Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and private cloud VMware/HyperV/HCI e.g. Nutanix.
- Data centre transformation, private cloud design and implementation.
- Data centre migration.
- Storage and backup implementation e.g. EMC networker
- Service Integration SIAM consulting and implementation. ServiceNow processes and platform implementation.
- Cyber Security Cyber security define and protection services.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and upkeep of project delivery model aligned with contractual obligations and /or client prescribed methods; including artefacts like project plan, organization structure, staffing plan, quality plan, training plan etc.
- Manage and assures the qualities of delivery to the client, by ensuring process Implementation, compliance & continuous Improvement
- Delivery on time and within agreed budget
- Identification, mitigation and monitoring of risks and issues in the project
- Management and improvement of projects financials like: Margin, Offshore Leverage, Utilization, margin improvement and offshore staffing pyramid
- Contribution towards account business development / improved portfolio deployment on own project
- Establish the client satisfaction criteria (jointly with the onshore team), and regularly monitoring client feedback to measure satisfaction levels against established criteria
- Build positive rapport with the key business stakeholders of internal, onshore and client project teams
- Ensure continuous and smooth communication for project delivery among all stakeholders and team members, as needed and manage escalations effectively.
- Ensure retention of project team by effective management of people processes such as: expectation setting and goal definition, timely reviews and continuous feedback, capability development & training management of project team, management of career progressions within the team, addressing personnel issues in timely manner and team engagement / building
- Manage staffing & administration pertaining to project delivery effectively
- Oversee project related forecasting and reporting
- Protect the interest of client and delivery, by challenging the construct of the project and by demonstrating innovation through triggers like but not limited to: best practice implementation, drive process efficiency and develop new solutions based on sector/ technology trends
- Knowledge management & reuse on project delivery
- Articulate the proposed solution (for change requests) & related benefits adequately and persuasively, reflecting a balance between client's interests/concerns as well as Client business interests.
- Day to day relations with vendors and/or third-party management with respect to delivery of the engagements
Certifications:
- Relevant project management certifications desirable
