SQL DBA Administrator || Microland Limited

Job Description

Location - Pune

Roles and Responsibilities

L2 level expertise in SQL Server DBA

1)Monitoring and solving incident tickets, change requests and service calls in 24/7 environment, adhering to SLAs.

2)Monitoring database servers Health Checks and tuning accordingly, Daily health checks.

3)Restoring databases from production to testdev upon client requests.

4)Managing and Troubleshooting scheduled SQL Jobs, configuring database backups, Rebuilding and reorganizing the indexes on daily basis.

5)Creating new SQL logins as per the request from application team, Providing Security administration including managing role and user database permissions in accordance with Client policies.

6)Troubleshooting Performance Problems in SQL Server such as CPU utilization, Memory, I/O, Tempdb, Slow running queries, blockings and deadlocks.

7)Solving issues related to windows by coordinating with windows team.

8)Creating new databases for specific business needs and configuring as requested.

9)New installations of latest SQL server versions as per the project requirement, preparing HOTs documentation for new servers.

10)Preparing KT for new devices, mitigating any potential risks as a project work and getting sign-off to support.

11)Configuring high availability Mirroring, Log Shipping, Clustering and AlwaysOn High availability, troubleshooting any issues related to High Availability technologies.

12)Quarterly service improvement initiatives for better application performance- Applying latest service packs, data files movement, mitigating potential risks.

13)Migrating SQL servers from SQL 2000,2005 to latest versions, in place or side-by-side upgrade.

14) Managing Integration, Analysis and Reporting Services.

15) L1 level expertise in Oracle DBA
