Job Description
A leading Investment firm is looking for Finance Associate based out of Chennai. JD as follows:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Finance Associate to provide financial planning, reporting and investment analysis support. The individual will support executive management by providing timely reporting and analysis of operating results and will be an integral part of the finance team. Key functions of the position, among others, are to:
- Post daily accounting entries in Tally and prepare monthly closing statements. Process all payments.
- Prepare financial reports on key operating metrics.
- Prepare monthly variance analysis of operating results and coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial results and forecasts.
- Support the budget process and the continued monitoring of budget vs. actual revenues, expenses and profits.
- Support the development of the monthly and quarterly forecast and Strategic Business Plan processes.
- Perform analysis of key financial performance indicators, report on trends and make recommendations for improving analysis and overall performance.
- Optimize cash management.
- Perform daily valuation and daily, monthly and quarterly reporting of the investment portfolio.
- Participate in special projects run out of the finance department.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
- Bachelors or Masters degree.
- Fluency in English is a must. Attention to detail, a must.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management and clients. Ability to formulate solid conclusions without too much supervision.
- Clear, consistent and professional degree of communication (in person as well as via phone and e-mail).
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Strong technical, analytical and presentation skills.
- Ability to design reports.
- Strong skills in planning and organization with an ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
