About the Role

  • The WFIP TRT will assist in line of business credit and risk initiatives and ensure that all CPE s / UMV s / OTE s across the Wholesale platform have been entered accurately into the various systems of record.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing financial analysis, calculating financial covenants, calculating yield, performing industry analysis, performing revenue analysis and preparing financing memorandums
  • Ability to prepare internal memorandums with assistance while identifying and mitigating risk
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring a risk-based program to identify and mitigate any operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems or external events or may provide oversight of an operational risk program.
  • Participates in and provides consulting and support for projects and initiatives with moderate risk to identify and mitigate operational risk in business activities
  • Accurately identify applicable credit policy exceptions by reviewing the credit documents, High Risk Borrower template
  • Access the account in the appropriate System of Record to review the exception codes and validate with the credit documents
  • Clarify and credibly challenges in case of ambiguity or deviation to the policy and procedures
  • Take informed decision by approving or rejecting the review considering the credit documents, SOR status and clarification provided by the LOBs
  • Report and escalate any gaps on the policies and procedures

Essential Qualifications

  • University Degree (Preferably B Com MBA in Finance discipline)
  • Min 4+years of experience in financial industry assessing credit worthiness of the borrowers based on qualitative and quantitative factors (Commercial Lending is an added advantage)
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Quality Assurance, Issue identification, Credit Domain (Wholesale Banking experience is an added advantage)
  • Knowledge on Credit products and Loan Types (Example: Revolving Line of Credit (RLOC), Term Loans, Business Elite Cards, P Cards)
  • Understanding of Leveraged lending loans.
