JD: Solaris and Linux
1. Performs and manages technical vulnerability discovery and analysis including the categorization of a discovered vulnerability
2. Manage remediation of vulnerabilities by selecting the proper course of action
3. Engage with stakeholders and PMs to facilitate vulnerability discovery and remediation
4. Planning & Scheduling of OS Upgrades/Patching and able to produce technical reports
5. Communication & Coordination with Application Teams
6. Reconcile Patch Plan with Results. Schedule Ad-hoc patching for failures
7. Standard Maintenance Window Management for downtime
8. Accountable for process Execution and to interact with client and other functional teams for gaining understanding of the requirements
9. To assist the team members in resolving complex incidents and creating business requirements documents for identified CR's
10. To coordinate with Track teams for pending CR's
11. To guide mentor and develop the teams
12. To train others, prepare and deliver presentations for knowledge sharing amongst different teams in the projects
13. are accountable for the administration of different IT infrastructure environments related to the department for Solaris admin and LINUX tasks
14. Have knowledge of the implemented hardware and software components
15. Have knowledge of ITIL
16. Supports with reviewing and resolving incidents/problems and monitors incidents/problems
17. Uses best practice knowledge to keep the consistency in infrastructure compliancy to organization
18. Understands the theories and practices across the service performance spectrum, helping refresh and/or decommission programmes that improve service availability effectiveness
19. Good analytical and problem solving skills
20. Good attitude towards the corporate environment
21. Good to have Oracle Certified Solaris Administrator
