Database Engineer - Hyderabad @ Wells Fargo

Job Description

About the Role

• A Senior Oracle DBA in EDM environment will be owning the support of databases in Banking Domain.
• This will include the Engineering, Build Deployment and On call support for Prod, BCP and lower environments like UAT,SIT and DEV.
• Owns the responsibility of the delivery and availability of Oracle databases and be single point of contact for his assigned group of databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor team to excel in delivery with his/her technical expertise
  

• Drive Improve the Databases efficiency and effectiveness of the channel of business he/she lead for

• Expert in Database infrastructure, Tools, Methodologies, Process
  

• Expert in Advanced techniques like Replication, Mirroring, Clustering etc
  

• Expert in Backup and Recovery, Disaster Recovery
  

• Hands on in implementing end to end complex database projects.
  

• Review/Prepare/Deploy the Database plan for the Change Requests Work Requests for Production and Non -production environments
  

• Primary DBA for the set of applications in the line of business
  

• Single point of Database technical contact for the channel of business he /she leads for.
  

• Fine tune the database and the application batch programs in collaboration with application teams
  

• Generate Ideas and Improvements- Process/Technical
  

• Collaborate with application Team and US partners and run the efficiency programs
  

• Participate/Assist in Capacity Planning, Design of the databases.
  

• Good understanding of the channel of business and its dependencies in terms of databases.

Essential Qualifications

• Graduation with Expert in Clustering, Replication Tuning Databases
  

• Expert in Backup and Recovery , Disaster Recovery
  

• Test and come up with new features and document best practices
  

• Hands on in implementing end to end complex database projects.
  

• Good in OS Administration, Scripting, Monitoring Tools

• Good in multi 3rd party monitoring and ticketing tools

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge on Cloud and Bigdata architecture
  

• Banking Domain knowledge
