Job Description

Initial assessment and management of every patient coming to triage, deciding under which specialty and consultant the patient will go and communicating the condition of the patient to the consultant. Management of patients in Triage, HDUs including performing procedures like intubation, central line placement and ventilatory management. Sr.Resident posted in Triage/HDU is required to provide medical cover for the wards (A1, A3) during night Performing bedside procedures when a medical officer is either not available or is unsuccessful in doing so. Sr.Resident on duty is required to answer the attendants queries and to keep them updated in case of any fresh development in their patients condition Communicate any deterioration in the patients status to the respective consultant and to ensure that the consultants orders are carried out appropriately. Receiving ambulance calls and ensuring timely dispatch of ambulance Arranging rooms / beds for patients in triage. To access all the HDU patients daily and to ensure that they are receiving appropriate Medical Care To ensure that patients condition is communicated correctly to the relatives and all their queries are answered appropriatelyRoles and Responsibilities
