Job Description
About the Role This position will serve as the Securities Operations Service Manager 1 for CIB Securities Broker Dealer Services Income Claims Utility process within CB CIB LOB. This position plays a critical role in ensuring daily BAU management, is responsible to drive process changes including leading driving process re-engineering initiatives. This role also requires one to be able to build a strong team drive operations culture within Broker Dealer Services. The role requires one to collaborate with stateside teams, understand business priorities, and drive them to closure by being flexible, working in shifts and developing strategies to deliver on business specific requirements. Responsibilities
- Directly manages the Income Claims Utility process within Broker Dealer Services sizing up to 8-9 Team Members.
- Strong knowledge in Corporate Actions in general and Income in particular is a must.
- Monitor and action settlement of shares and cash entitlements, identify and resolve exposure, and pursue past due entitlements by analyzing trade activity and submitting/tracking payment of broker/market claims.
- Reconcile Wells Fargo records to those of the depository, sub custodian s, global lending agents, as well as to other internal systems resolving any entitlement calculation problems due to position breaks.
- Go getter attitude, Meticulous, persistent and determined on follow-ups with counterparties on outstanding claims.
- Demonstrates high degree of reliability, integrity and trustworthiness in all areas.
- Fosters team work and sustains team morale motivation
- Proactive in identifying potential issues, handling the same and escalating issues to Senior management in a timely manner
- Plan, execute and be responsible for people, process and other business goals.
- Innovates supports in process expansion and conducts new hire trainings.
- Submits weekly and monthly metrics to the internal metrics team and LOB on a monthly basis.
- Conducts performance reviews and monitors monthly completion of reviews.
- Displays flexibility in working in shifts to cover all sub processes.
- Initiates process quality improvement ideas and is responsible to take them to closure.
- Develops and promotes operational excellence culture within Broker Dealer Services.
- Drives risk culture within the function and proactively identifies control opportunities.
- Develops domain expertise within teams.
- Develop, track and report cross training coverage across sub teams in Broker Dealer Services.
- Fosters Innovation Automation.
