IBM DB2 UDB demand with minimum 6 yrs exp

Candidate must have exp in AIX environment.

Knowing other RDBMS is added advantage.

Preferably hands on DB2 Version 10.5 or later and having solid experience in the areas of Performance Tuning at all levels (Application, sub-system, Database, SQL),

DB2 installations, patching, configuration changes.

Restore, High Availability Disaster Recovery, DB2 Workload Manager Administration, Database health monitor, table space management DB2 Storage Optimization,

Excellent Communication Skills. DB2 Certification is an added advantage.

        Define DB2 resources: catalog and directory objects, WLM JCL, buffer pools, parms, PROCS, resource limit tables

        Install DB2 related software upgrades/fixes for software currency, hardware compatibility, new customer requirements and/or platform compatibility

        Install, support and customize licensed DB2 software and related tools (client & 3rd party vendors)

        Implement advanced features/function of DB2 software (e.g. DB2 Parallel Sysplex, DB2 Data Sharing, Load balancing, native XML, etc.)
