Roles and Responsibilities
In your role, you will be charged with designing cloud strategy, architecture design, solutioning for the customer requirements and Migration strategy.
You will be collaborating with business and technical staff to engage in analysis and design exercise with existing clients and prospects.
You are expected to be customer-facing, hands-on, advanced database technologist with a track record of success.
Experience & Responsibilities
- Work directly with Google Cloud executives, technical teams and end users.
- This role would be aligned to Google Cloud Platform practice for fastest growing system integration organization.
- Hands-on role & will be intimately familiar with orchestration technology, CI/CD tooling, Puppet/ Chef, network infrastructure, security technology, containers and databases.
- Design and architect cloud migration and cloud native solutions including infrastructure as a service, Platform as a service etc. Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions for distributed systems and applications.
- Design and implement automation pipelines for deployment into Google Cloud Platform.
- Implementation of Google Cloud Platform within in large regulated enterprise environment. Evaluation of Data Centre strategy and migration to cloud.
- Understand the technical requirements of enterprise customers and work closely with the internal development teams.
- Propose the plan, demonstrating its components to business stakeholders and leadership.
- Independently perform ideation, create use cases, work with Security Operations to conduct Proof of Concept set up and thereafter formalizing the use to mainstream business.
- Define and implement infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques to migrate workloads into GCP.
- Experience in automating network or system operations through scripting. Understands setting up Monitoring and diagnostics on GCP for web applications and experience in managing the enterprise continuous integration CI and continuous delivery CD processes focused on GCP.
- Key Technology requirements Cloud infrastructure experience on AWS, Azure, but GCP preferred IAM users/groups/service accounts and their differences Networking and VPCs, concepts of public vs. private IPs Security, ACLs, firewalls Automation; VM setup/teardown, scripting, platform tools (AWS Cloud formation/Azure. Resource Manager/GCP Deployment Manager).
- Exposure to 3rd party tool like Terraform, Cloud Foundry, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- 7-10 years of IT experience including 3-5 years of cloud architecture experience
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities in addition to technical depth
- Experience in Architecting and designing solutions leveraging services like Cloud Big Query, Clod Data Flow, Cloud Pub OR Sub, Cloud Big Table.
- Provide response to the RFPs and client requirements.
- Strong understanding of GCP infra Foundations, IAM, IAC, Networking, Load balancing, GKE and Security
- Experience of migrating from Monolithic to Microservices architecture
- Experience in Rehosting, Re-platforming, Refactoring the On-Premise applications and Migrate to cloud.
Preferred Qualifications
- Presales process including requirement clarification, RFP, RFQ, RFI
- Leading customer workshop sessions to educate customer on best practices
- Story telling skills in form of presentation, blogs, white papers
- Architecture experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge on high performance and high availability architecture designs.
- Knowledge on operating system (Unix/ Windows) best practices.
