Role & Responsibilities:
As part of a cross-functional development team, this person will perform various Hardware development & Sustenance activities, testing and documentation duties on projects as assigned by the product development manager for development for Industrial Datalogger products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own / Maintain & Sustain Embedded Hardware for Data Logger product family
- Independently work with cross function team to understand customer requirement, participate in system / subsystem design review.
- Leads finalization of electronics design requirements by collaboration / reviewing with systems & global engineering teams.
- Come out with design concepts, trade off analysis. Component selection and Suggests alternate components based on cost, function, performance and DFX.
- Conceptualize / Create / Conduct & Documents testing as per test plans (V&V- including functional and regulatory test cases)
- Critically reviews failures & creates root cause analysis on design issues and provide design solutions.
- Design schematic of digital, mix signal and power electronics circuit board that satisfy design requirement.
- Create design documents & artifacts as per design process
- Technically capable of independently performing design modeling, simulation and predictive analysis considering performance parameters like power, timing, signal integrity, etc. Implement the design optimization and confirmation to requirements by using these analyses.
- Constant learner to become a Subject Matter Expert.
Education & Experience levels:
Masters or bachelors degree in Engineering with electronics / ENTC with 8 plus years of experience in relevant software industry.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Hardware development for lab equipment & products
- Experience in Low power devices & battery-operated devices
- Detail knowledge of LVD Design standards, ATEX & EX standards
- Thorough understanding of EOL management
- Ability to understand and follow engineering processes such as SCRUM, version control, and bug management.
- Experience in Precision analog design including signal conditioning for various sensors and noise reduction.
- Experience in design calculations and simulation for functional, timing analysis, power budgeting and signal integrity
- Experience in design for EMI/EMC and other regulatory requirements, testing and fixing issues to meet the requirements.
