Data Protection and Application Security organisation within GCIO ESS is responsible for the design and delivery of the key technical capabilities, products and services related to information security. This includes public key infrastructure, data leakage prevention, information rights management, application security. We operate in 3 locations (UK, Switzerland & Poland) providing products and client services globally, and have plans to establish team in Pune, India in order to provide commodities services to our internal customers globally.
The candidate will work as a Data Engineer with team of Quantitative Analyst and Modelers, as well as various other business and technology units. This position is passionate about delivering tactical and strategic solutions to support the banks Market Risk processes and reporting. The individual will be part of an Agile team working closely with team members in India and New York. The role will require the candidate to perform development and provide system support as required by the project. The individual would have the opportunity to re-architect, re-design and re-engineer platforms to "seek" data distribution and orchestration problems.
Aid in the analysis of security requirements and solutions, and work with the chief information security officer (CISO) [and CDO] to ensure that enterprise data and analytics assets are treated as a protected assets.
This role will be key to developing innovative solutions and consulting capabilities within our team. This role will build a highly domain intensive team that can front end new client conversations, understand their need and translate them into solutions. Then use these experiences in building IP that can be validated across multiple customers and deliver customer impact. In short, this role will also help in building out our expertise and new offerings as well as deliver business impact for our customers.
Bring yourself in and become a part of the solution by both implementing new solutions and extend existing systems in the IT Security domain, delivering these solutions globally and to all business units.
Primary responsibilitiesThe focus for Cloud Security is to improve and standardize Cloud and Security solution by deploying the latest Cloud security services and security solutions including Secrets Management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Working Experience with "Windows" and/or "Linux" on a System Administrator level (including Scripting)
Experience with software packaging and versioning systems (e.g. GIT)
Experience in systems operation and engineering or an equivalent role
Knowledge of integrating Unix/Linux based applications with availability monitoring systems, audit log collection systems (e.g Splunk, syslog), and IAM systems (e.g. LDAP, Centrify, etc )
Solving issues that may arise from performance issues, system errors and network traffic issues, handle incidents until closure.
Customer management, Team management, Good Interpersonal and communication skills, detail oriented, problem solving and analytical ability, reasoning skills, work Under Stress in multiple time zones.
Performing system maintenance and maintain current documentation.
Be the go-to for design and implementation execution, and operational subject area for Continuous Integration, Deployment, Configuration Management and Cloud Automation.
Ensure that service level expectations are met or exceeded.
Graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related subject. Alternatively an equivalent education in one of these topics
Experience in working in international environments or working abroad, preferably in financial industry
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Experience in Troubleshooting application issues on Windows systemsClear understanding of information security (especially: Data Protection in transit at rest, Data classification, IRM, DLP) both on-prem and in cloud is important
Familiarity with technologies: SSH, SNMP, SMTP, HSMs, PKI, Syslog.
Good Understanding of Agile Delivery Methodology & Scrum teams.
