Job Description
Java AWS Support Engineer
In this role, we are looking for an analytical, Java Developer who will work with team members to tackle and improve current back-end applications and processes. The Java Developer will use his or her understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze current codes and industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, seek problems, and build a more flawless experience for users. Should have excellent communication, computer, and project management skills. In addition, should be passionate about building a better, more efficient program and crafting a better end-user experience. Should be knowledgeable, collaborative, and motivated.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the other team members to establish objectives and craft more functional, cohesive codes to improve the user experience.
- Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by supervising industry developments and trends.
- Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
- Taking lead on projects, as needed
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Any Graduate Preferred: B.E/B.TECH/MCA / M. TECH
Preferred qualifications
- Candidate must have strong experience (MUST) in supporting applications developed using latest Java/J2EE frameworks/tools (JDK 1.8+, Spring boot, Docker, Hibernate/JPA, AWS ECR/ECS Fargate, Angular & Polymer JS, PostgreSQL, Postman, Deaver, Gradle, New Relic, Rally, GIT, STS etc.)
- Candidate should have strong development skills to build Spring boot based Micro Services and usage of REST API s.
- Candidate should have good knowledge and working experience with Postgres database and should be able to write queries to extract the reports.
- Strong knowledge on the Supporting microservcies based applications deployed using AWS Fargate containers
- Candidate should have strong problem analysis and solving skills
- Analyze & identify the production bugs and raise the defects
- Should be able to do the RCA on the production issues and work towards to close the defects.
- Should be able to Share Process improvement ideas to mitigate the production issues and come with LEAN/GB projects.
- Candidate should be open to work in 18/5 (18 hours/5 Days) on a rotation shift basis (Mandatory requirement)
- Candidate should be ready to work in shifts (2 shifts on a rotation basis: 9-6 AM IST and 6 AM IST to 3 AM IST) (Mandatory requirement)
- Candidate should work on a rotation based weekend activities to deploy applications to production, support any outages/downstream systems upgrades which are planned over the weekends. This will be rotation based (Mandatory requirement)
- Candidate should have good verbal and written communications
- Good to have experience in Oracle Service Cloud (OSC) ticketing tool and service now(Not Mandatory)
- Prior experience working in L2/L3 support will be added advantage
- Good to have experience in Talend Open Studio (Not Mandatory)
- Good to have experience in Oracle ERP s (Not Mandatory)
