SUMMARY
In the global economy, our customers have to deliver new products more frequently and adapt product changes more quickly, while the complexity of products rises. These companies rely heavily on managing their products across the extended enterprise, it becomes essential to establish a digital thread for product data to ensure access to up-to-date product data and traceability. SAP s digital thread program has been identified as a cornerstone of the Intelligent Enterprise for PLM. Our vision is to enable the digital thread from design to operate while leveraging the most common intelligent technologies.
We re looking for a motivated and talented Developer Cum DevOps who wants to join us on our exciting journey to create SAP s digital thread solution. You will make sure that smooth infrastructure setup and CI/CD for the team.
While DevOps will be your core task, developing software at SAP is much more than just that. It s a team effort, including designing our products for the end user/customers, delivering our services efficiently and fast, in time and in quality. In this role you will:
THE ROLE
- Autonomous building, setting up and document new development tools and infrastructure to form a self-service platform for our engineers
- Working on ways to further automate and improve our CI/CD process
- Support ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats (DevSecOps)
- Support internal and external customers on multiple platforms to troubleshoot customer environments to increase user satisfaction
- Understand and live the importance of automated testing in large and fast-iterating systems
- Develop tooling and processes to drive and improve customer experience, create playbooks, increase efficiency, and reduce incidents
- Work with engineering and IT teams to oversee and manage code releases
- Monitor application environments and responding to issues as needed
ROLE REQUIREMENT
- Master/ Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related
- 3-6 years of experience in professional software development, preferably within a scrum team
- Automation experience with at least one configuration/deployment management system such as, AWS Cloud Formation, or other such tools
- Experience working with at least one of the following languages: Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, and Java.
- Experience working with Git and GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry
- Experience working in an Agile, fast-paced, DevOps environment
- Proficient with git and git workflows and in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment is a plus
- Knowledge of modern back-end technology stacks, tools, and standards, including relational and non-relational databases, webservers, server-side frameworks such as Postgres, MongoDB, Nginx, Node.js, restful APIs, and OAuth is a plus
- Detailed knowledge of the PLM core processes is and added advantage
