Job Description

1. Proven skills in managing research and development teams working across disciplines and research topics.
2. Ability to develop new and innovative research collaborations as demonstrated by both programme development and fund raising.
3. Proven skills to develop research strategies and planning with an aim to undertake foresight analysis in research and development.
4. Publications in reputed journals.
5. Should work to facilitate and promote quality research in recognised research centres/laboratories.
6. Should scrutinize and recommend the research proposals received from various University Departments/Centres/Institutes and other related research programmes for approval.
7. Should supervise and promote the quality of research purpose published.
8. Should identify key areas of research in consultation with Deans and HODs and ensure their promotion to achieve national eminence in such areas.
9. Should prepare an annual research report and identify the initiatives to be taken for promoting/maintaining quality of the research work.
10. In charge of Innovation and Start-up Cells.
Skills required
B.Tech/B.E, M.Tech/M.E and PhD with at least 10 years of experience guiding and directing research in national and international organisations/Institutions;
A thorough understanding of the R&D environment;
Broad experience of the industry/Institutions;
An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques;
A high level of interpersonal skills.
