BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE REPORTING SPECIALIST
Position Summary:
The Business Intelligence Reporting Specialist (BIRS) must have strong analytical, and technical design skills, and is primarily responsible for the development, implementation and support of internal reporting interfaces within the company. The BIRS will utilize existing tools and platforms (SharePoint 2015, Microsoft SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server 2014, VB.NET and C#), but will also be responsible for offering new methods & ideas for presenting smart analytics to the internal EOS team. The BIRS works on multiple projects simultaneously, participating in requirements gathering, design sessions and working directly with key users to ensure deliverables are fully understood.
Responsibilities:
- Work with key Business resources and IT Team members to deliver reports & analytics that meet the businesss needs.
- Participate in design sessions and translate gathered business requirements into actionable items.
- Ability to bring new perspectives, and fresh ideas on how to present & deliver reporting and analytics.
- Build new reporting channels & interfaces for a wide range of users.
- Provide summary reporting & dashboards for the Executive audience, as well as drill-down solutions for our internal Business Analysts.
- Optimize our existing SharePoint environment to display data & reports.
- Design reports that are professional looking and presentation-ready with EOS branding.
- Must have a forward-thinking approach to solving current reporting needs.
- Create Ad Hoc reports for Senior Management.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience as a Reporting Analyst/Developer is required.
- Bachelors degree in MIS or Business Intelligence is required.
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint & relational datasets is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPivot and SSRS required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SSAS is preferred.
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Strong English skills preferred.
