Responsibilities:
- Strategy Planning
- Closely monitor key macro, policy and competitor dynamics, as key inputs to strategic plan updates
- Support Commercial Director to lead annual strategic planning and forecasting process across the business units, to provide meaningful input to financial LRP and AOP process.
- Regular portfolio analysis to prioritize growth opportunities and optimize resource deployment across businesses / categories
- Growth Acceleration
- Continuously cultivate, evaluate and advance accretive growth initiatives in prioritized categories, organically or inorganically
- Proactively scout and nurture external collaboration opportunities aligned with company strategic priority and focus
- Develop strategic plan for prioritized growth initiatives. Perform situational analysis to assist management in understanding the risk/benefit tradeoffs between various approaches and come up with pathway forward recommendations. Partner with commercial and cross functional leaders to prepare sound business case
- Collaborate and support corporate and APAC BD team on global and regional BD&L deals
- Project Implementation
- Lead cross functional team to implement prioritized strategic projects in an agile way. Make sound business judgement to drive optimal project value capture and delivery
- Drive BD&L integration PMO efforts in South East Asia. Coordinate with commercial and functional teams to deliver integration plans.
To achieve the desired deliverables, the candidate shall:
- Obtain an in-depth understanding of market segments and therapeutic areas that Baxter is playing in, as well as close adjacencies.
- Coordinate and/or conduct qualitative and quantitative market research projects to evaluate market opportunity for new products and/or adjacent opportunities.
- Establish close working relationship with commercial, as well as cross functional team to for effective proposal evaluation, as well as project implementation
- Build strong connection with industry BD and innovation community, to proactively shape and cultivate collaboration opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Strong storytelling, presentation development and delivery skills
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and communication skills
- Creative, initiative, flexible, and collaborative
- Strong strategic thinking and mindset with proven track record of developing and implementing short and long terms business strategies for the healthcare industry.
- Strong ability to understand market trends, financial data, customer needs, and assess competitive intelligence data
- Solid years experiences of marketing, market research or consulting in a health care, or health care related, multinational company
- Bachelor s degree with medical, pharmacy is a plus, but not necessary
- Good execution and project management skills
- Professional PowerPoint and presentation skills
- Fluent English in both written and oral
