Job Description
Regional Legal Mgr ( Immovable Property) Housing Loan -Mumbai

CTC : 8 lkhs to 10 lkhs
Responsibility:
- Title due diligence of immovable property .
- Formulate process and policy to avoid legal documentation related fraud at branches.
- Manage post disbursement documentation process to mitigate risk from fraud and ensure custody of the property documents for creation of EM
- Handle legal queries from hub and branches related to legal title
- Carry out legal evaluation of projects for approval and for construction finance.
- Manage the legal evaluation process in the hub / region
- Work closely with the underwriting head at the hub and develop robust legal verification norms
- Monitor outsourced legal verification agency in the hub region for quality and timeliness of reports
- Carry out the final level check post the submission of report by the empanelled agency
- Manage the vendors involved in the legal verification process
- Train and evaluate the proficiency levels of the team on a regular basis
- Maintain TAT targets for the legal evaluation process for all products and project approvals
- Work closely with the technical counterpart on the legal evaluation front
- Maintain an MIS related to the legal evaluation/ legal appraisal of properties
- Monitor handling of fraud cases on the legal front i.e. identification, handling, reporting and facilitating closure as per the action decided
- Facilitate implementation of fraud policy in the Branches.
- Title report check/approval in software
- Work closely with branch and legal vendors
- Non recovery litigation, briefing counsel, drafting reply towards legal notice
Any other work given by reporting manager from time to time
