Experience : 4 to 7+ years
1. Strong experience in architecting, designing and building large components or entire applications using Ruby on Rails.
2. Expert knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX (Knowledge of React & Web-pack is a major plus).
3. Good knowledge of PostgreSQL.
4. Good Knowledge of Git version control system.
5. Knowledge of writing test cases with RSpec.
6. Good Knowledge of AWS Services like S3, EC2, EBS (Knowledge of lambda is a major plus).
7. Write, review, reuse and maintain code primarily in Ruby, CSS, and Javascript.
8. Knowledge of modern software architectures, single page apps, modern web stack.
9. Should have good knowledge in server and deployment script.
10. Ability to take quick design decisions while working independently.
Roles and responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain new and existing Ruby on Rails based applications.
2. Provide code review on contributions to the system.
3. Develop code for both front-end and back-end components.
4. Partner with select teams developing new features to share expertise as projects move from conception to launch, with a view to growing the project team's systems thinking practices.
5. Zoom out and examine the big-picture.
6. Design new relational data models and update existing ones using PostgreSQL database.
7. Good knowledge in analyzing requirements and estimation.
