Job Description for Application Infra Support
Responsibilities include:
- Implement on-premises applications (VPC & Physical servers) that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing
- Manage implementation of critical application setting up Infrastructure hardware/software, CICD Pipeline
- Implement Change management process raise change requests, code deployment & perform application sanity
- Provide L1 & L2 Infrastructure & application support during development lifecycle
- Perform regular environment Infrastructure & application health checks
- Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes
- Automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation
- Work closely with developers to implement continuous delivery systems and methodologies
- Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems
- Build tools and processes to support the infrastructure
Requirement:
- 6 to 9 Yrs years of experience implanting on-premises applications that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing
- Minimum 4 years experience in C programming, Java Development & JBoss (application code changes / code fixes), understand end-to-end deployment process
- Good background in Linux/Unix, Shell scripting
- Good knowledge on setting up application Infrastructure environment & debugging Application issues
- Experience working with Middleware teams, Linux SA, Oralce DBA, Network teams
- Should have experience in setting up Tivoli, Grafana application monitoring tools
- Should have experience in setting up Infrastructure hardware/software, CICD Pipeline
DevOps experience CI/CD pipelines tools and applications (CI/CD Pipeline, Bitbucket, Nexus, Jira, Jenkins, etc) - Experience in provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments will be an advantage
- Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking
- Disaster Recovery design and deployment across regions a plus
- Experience in automation and testing via scripting & programming (Jenkins, Python, Ruby, Java, Shell Script)
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
