Safety Officers are responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work. Their main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.
Familiarity with all statutory requirements e.g. Annual safety audits, major emergency response planning etc.
Conduct safety meetings and training as per requirement.
Ensure operational capability of portable fire extinguishers, fire hydrant system, safety appliances and equipments
Identifying Unsafe act/Unsafe condition.
Near Miss Reporting
Frequent Safety Audits, Inspections & BBS (Behavior Based Safety) rounds in all departments to improve awareness and Implement Corrective Action and Preventive Actions.
Conducting Safety Break, Safety Training, and HSE Induction to new employees, visitors & contractors.
Manage the Environmental, Health & Safety activities.
Sound Knowledge of all acts & statutory requirements of the Factories/MPCB etc
Carry out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) & Environmental Aspect & Impact (EAI)
To improve EHS Standards to meet criteria for gaining ISO 18001 Certification.
