Job Description
Automation and control engineerEnlivening is designing and building Satellite space antennas for remote sensing applications. We are looking for an automation and controls engineer to design and develop control systems (electronics & software) for the deployment of an antenna. Were looking for people who want to dive in and get their hands dirty and those who are not afraid to make important decisions and work to provide a data driven rationale. Every day we push the limits of what is possible through innovation, determination, and teamwork and were only just beginning.
Responsibilities
Design, develop control system for the antenna deployment, which would involve programmed operation of restraint release, restraint release of top & bottom disc, motor controls for unfurling the antenna.
Creating Control electronics module based on FPGA. All sensors, micro switches, motor controls, encoders, RS 422 channels will be interfaced with this module.
Handle wiring connections for sensors, actuators, motors and switches to Control system and routing the same.
Set, implement, and maintain schedules and budgets to ensure project completion.
Drive specifications for deliverables with design engineers (internal & external) to define build and test criteria and production operation requirements.
Work and adapt to schedules and budgets to ensure project success.
Basic Qualification
Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline physics, electrical, electronics, mechanical, computer, aerospace.
1-2 yrs ( research/ internship) in designing and building control systems software and integrating it with hardware for applications such as antenna deployment, Unmanned vehicle or robotics or any other related field/area.
Solid knowledge of control system design and its application.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as member of an integrated team.
Programming languages and scripting for engineering use (C++, C, MATLAB, Python).
Exposure to FPGA, Microcontrollers, sensors
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Experience in fast-paced iterative design and manufacturing environment.
Masters degree with research in control system and a strong focus on experiment/ physically building the system.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and able to maneuver in tight spaces
Willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to hit critical deadlines
Only people with good academia (phd/master) background with Tier 1 College, having done projects/thesis with hardware integration ( UAV/ robotics) will be considered
