Mobile and QNX Embedded Development SXM Tuner

Location :Novi-Michigan

Position Summary:

The Sr. Software Engineer - Mobile and Embedded Development will be an active participant in the SiriusXM mobile and embedded streaming application development. technical design/specification of the common components/libraries, working closely with the Architect and various mobile team leads, analyzing requirements, and translating them into technical specifications for the development team.

This individual should be able to work effectively with either an internal development team or an external one.

Technical Skills:

- concurrency and multithreaded programming techniques

- HLS, DASH, RTSP;

- Agile/Scrum methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle, Source Control systems, and Configuration Management;

- Strong comprehension of web services, HTTP protocol, and service-oriented architecture;

- - Clean Code- development techniques

- S.O.L.I.D. OOP design principles;

- fix performance bottlenecks and deliver code that meets performance budgets and goals;

- MVC or MVVM;

- Familiarity with VMware would be a plus

Required Candidate profile

Minimum Qualifications:

BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technically related field;

- 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing network-connected applications in Mobile and embedded environment;

- 2+ years of hands-on experience developing mobile and embedded application in Linux environment;

- Strong working knowledge of C++, OOP, Advanced C++ techniques, memory management concepts

- Strong working knowledge of QNX, QT, HMI concepts

- Knowledge of C++ 11 feature set would be a plus

Education:

UG:   Any Graduate - Any Specialization, B.Tech/B.E. - Computers

PG:  MS/M.Sc(Science) - Any Specialization, Computers
