Inviting applications for the role of Snowflake, Data Warehouse and SQL
Responsibilities
- Create technical specs, code and configuration
- Manage SQL Server databases
- Will be responsible to plan, design, develop and maintain the data architecture, data models and standards for various Data Integration & Data warehouse projects in snowflake.
- Provide direction on adoption of Cloud technologies (Snowflake ) and industry best practices in the field of data warehouse architecture and modelling
- Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using SQL
- Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements & suggest new queries
- Thoughtful leader on Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Integration strategy, BI technologies, Data Governance and service lifecycle management.
- Good knowledge of AZURE Cloud platform services stack - Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, AZURE Data Warehouse, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, HD Insight, Cosmos DB, etc
- Maintain scripts and documentation related to Product suite
- Continuously improve ETL and data processes
Qualifications
Minimum qualification
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent
- Solid IT work experience in the operations or development areas for databases and ETL processes, using SQL and Talend technology
- Expertise in Snowflake data modelling, ELT using Snowflake SQL, implementing complex stored Procedures and standard DWH and ETL concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Big Data model techniques using Python
- Data warehouse Should have hands-on data warehouse implementation experience using Azure SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure SQL DW, SSIS and ADF.
Preferred qualifications
- SQL system migration and upgrade experience are advantages
- Good knowledge in the financial domain is a great plus
- Strong Analytical skill and communication skills
- Must have expertise in AWS or Azure Platform as a Service (PAAS).
- Certified Snowflake cloud data warehouse Architect (Desirable).
- Ability to self-learn and teach more junior team members
- Should possess good understanding of data governance (metadata management, data lineage, audit logging, data quality and master data management)
- Tolerance uncertainties, ability to take measured risk
