Job Description

Responsibilities
Performing installation, upgrade and configuration of IBM MQ v.7.5, v.8 to v.9 or 9.1, 9.2 on UNIX, Solaris & Windows environment.
Implementing and supporting the IBM MQ infrastructure.
Monitoring and maintaining IBM MQ objects such as Queue Managers, Queues, channels, and listeners.
Backup, recovery, and upgrades of MQ objects.
Responsible for providing application-level security.
Gain a solid grasp of the business process, workflows, and data.
Assist in technical specifications and other deliverable documents. Implement appropriate monitoring, alerting and measurements to ensure the health of our environment.
Develop and document disaster-recovery plans and participate in testing to ensure the environment is recoverable within pre-determined SLAs.
Provide off-hours support for production applications.
Develop a deep understanding of applications and integration and bring issues to resolution.
Monitor application performance and improve response times.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Minimum 8+ Years experience in WMQ and above with expertise in installation, support, analysis of logs and performance tuning.
Demonstrable experience in installing and configuring of WMQ v.7.5 and above on UNIX environments.
Experience in monitoring IBM MQ objects such as Queue Managers, Queues, channels, and listeners.
Proficiency in troubleshooting on IBM MQ version 7.5, 8.0, 9.1, 9.2, Backup and Recovery and upgrades of MQ objects.
Expertise in Disaster Recovery Activity and good knowledge on MQ clustering, MQ Backup and Recovery
Experience in installing/upgrading/migrating latest versions of MQ on AWS along with Chef, Jenkins and CICD integration expertise.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Proficient in working with high availability environment along with alignment to process (ITIL). Familiarity with MQ securities like SSL and OAM.

Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
