Job Description
As a weigh bridge Expert, the role is responsible to ensure empty and loaded vehicle weighment is taken correctly and all the data entered correctly into the system and looking after Weigh bridge Operators and Supervisors.
Ensure no mismatch between invoice and weighment and also proper covering of material.
Further to ensure smooth movement of vehicle and avoid congestion near the in and out weigh bridge, ensuring safety at all the times.

Bridge Engineer Responsibilities

Procure and manage consultants and contractors, and initiate and develop comprehensive construction contract documents.
Perform detailed analysis of structures using SAP2000.
Modele and analyze the bridge using SAP2000.
Design and analyze substructure end bents using STAAD.
Complete markups for slab details and building foundations using AutoCAD.
Prepare structural detailing sheets for superstructures and substructures base on TxDOT detailing manual.
Survey and inspect large volumes of concrete placement on large bridge interchange projects.
Analyze bridge structures for deficiencies following the AASHTO code using hand calculations and software.
Perform pond design, storm sewer system layout, pond analysis and ICPR modeling.
Design bridges and other highway relate structures using PennDOT standards, and AASHTO policies and procedures.
Prepare AutoCAD drawings for final design, sketch plans and presentations for several bridge and highway projects.
Prepare parking garage condition assessment reports and repair design, using carbon fiber material for some repairs per ACI 440.2R-02.
Prepare structural assessment report for several railway over crossings.
Carry out condition inspection of several railway bridges and prepare structural assessment reports.
Work with superintendents and foremen in pavement, drainage and right-of-way maintenance operations.
Produce an accurate weighbridge ticket for all loads entering and leaving the site.
Identity the customer account and material and ensure that the correct vehicle registration customer, product, haulier, source / destination and order number in recorded.
Handling, taking, over to / from shift supervisor.
Place vehicle on WB.
Record Gross, tare & Net weight.
Guide vehicle to unloading /loading area.
Collect weighbridge charges as per agreement with customer.
To ensure that all drivers and visitors are wearing appropriate PPE.
Refuse to accept / issue material when a customers account is on credit stop. (Unless authorization is obtained from site manager or credit control department).
Notify the driver when the vehicle is overweight.
Keep the weighbridge balanced and reading zero and notify our manager of any operational problems with the weighbridge (inaccuracies, damages, cleanliness etc.)
Inspect inbound documentation to ensure compliance with license.
Maintaining the weighbridge office in a clean and tidy manner.
Issuing site rules and instructions to drivers and visitors.
Answering the telephone in a professional manner.
Aware of personal responsibilities towards health and safety use of PPE, and reporting accidents, incidents and near misses.
Working with other members of staff to operate the facility safety to maximize through puts.
