Big Data Tester (4-6) - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ Anri Solutions

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Coordinate with program and development management teams in product development lifecycle to conform end user product and quality requirements and shipment schedule

Work with developers and stakeholders to thoroughly understand business or technical requirements

Coordinate with project teams on timing and priority of QA testing needs

Create test strategies and plans to enable thorough test coverage of systems and possess fine-tuned analytical skills and be very detail oriented.

Ability to work well with a variety of colleagues from different aspects of the work environment and execute testing scenarios and scripts to verify requirements within system functional specifications and user requirements.

Communicate with immediate supervisor and other project team members on the status of work in-progress, both verbal and written communication.

Possess excellent knowledge on estimation techniques and ensure all deliverables are delivered on schedule and notify appropriate personnel when variances from the schedule occur.

Candidate should be able to design, coding skills to implement test automation infrastructure, frameworks and actual tests to validate complex software.

Need to possess strong leadership skills especially coach and mentor junior resources in functional, automation and adapt / adopt / flexible to learn new technologies

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

4 to 6 years relevant work experience in software testing primarily on Data Warehousing/ETL

Should work closely with software developers/project owners and BAs to develop and execute thorough test suites in all phases of the software development cycle

Develop Test strategy, test plan/design , execute test cases and defect management for the ETL & BI systems

Develop and execute detailed ETL related functional, performance, integration and regression test cases, and documentation

Analyze and understand the ETL work flows developed

Hands on experience in Testing Hadoop Application : Hive/ SPARK

Excellent skills in writing SQL queries and good knowledge on database [Oracle/ Netezza/SQL ]

Knowledge of any one scripting languages: Java or Scala or Python

Strong knowledge on automation using Selenium Web driver along with CI / CD & aware of multiple frameworks (BDD)

Knowledge and working experience of API testing

Quality Management - Knowledge of quality management methods, tools and techniques like Jira & HP ALM

Create UNIX shell scripts to access and move data from production to development environment

Communicate- and manage expectations of the senior management team and affected stakeholders during the planning and roll out of project releases

Flexible to work / Adopt quickly with different technologies and tools

Prior Health Care industry experience is a plus.
