The Opportunity Adobe is seeking as OpenStack System Engineer with excellent technical and relevant process knowledge to be part of CloudOps team within ATS.
The Platform Infrastructure Team in Adobe's IT is in charge of a number of large-scale platforms across multiple geographies to support critical business requirements. We are deploying, automating, maintaining, and improving OpenStack-based private cloud, VMware hypervisor platform and container infrastructures. As a System Engineer candidate will become a part of exciting journey to design, support & maintain multiple mission-critical systems that is cutting edge, challenging and fun. Candidate must be able to express thoughts clearly and capable of working in a team or as an individual contributor. Individual should be self-motivated with very good communication skills.
What you'll Do OpenStack System Administration
- Build & deploy new physical servers to scale existing platforms using defined SOP
- Day-to-day administration & monitoring of OpenStack platforms
- Resolve issues raised by users consuming these platforms
- Automate platform administration tasks/processes as applicable
- Monitoring & fixing of Server Hardware issues, firmware upgrades etc.
- Manage & maintain security compliance of the OpenStack platforms
Documentation
- Create & maintain system documentation as required.
What you need to succeed - 6-8 years of OpenStack platform administration experience. Exposure to Mirantis OpenStack will be a plus.
- Excellent fundamental knowledge & hands on experience with Linux systems
- Good understanding of software defined storage like Ceph
- Excellent understanding & working knowledge of IT Network
- Experienced in working with configuration management tools like Chef/Puppet/Salt etc.
- Exposure to DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins etc.
- Hands on experience in managing Dell Physical servers
- All platform engineers are expected to take part in automation of mundane tasks and repetitive functions. Prior scripting experience with automating infrastructure at scale is essential
- Working experience with tools like Dell OME, ServiceNow
- Quick learner having ability to work with minimum supervision
