Job description:
Rain Cements, a thirty-five-year-old company headquartered in Hyderabad and known for manufacturing and marketing Priya Cement, is seeking an experienced Deputy General Manager - Process to lead and oversee the Process department at its plant in Sreepuram (V), Boincheruvupalli (Village), Kurnool (D), Andhra Pradesh.
To be successful as a DGM of Process, you should have prior organizational leadership experience, be able to collaborate with team engineers, and be a strategic problem-solver. The ideal candidate would possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have a deep understanding of the entire cement manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Organize the production according to the dispatch schedule and ensure maximum uptime by controlling process parameters while meeting output and quality targets
- Monitor production of clinker to ensure consistently high quality to maintain the company's long-held reputation for manufacturing good quality cement products
- Propose, plan, and implement cost-effective plant process improvements or upgradation projects while keeping in mind Safety, Productivity and Quality aspects
- Ensure plant operations follow the budgeted consumption targets of fuel, power, grinding media & refractory material for cost effectiveness
- Ensure Process department is well-staffed and well-trained to always support the plant operations with a focus on safety and productivity
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B. Tech/B.E in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry
- 20-25 years of hands-on experience in the Cement Manufacturing industry
- Aged between 45 to 55 years
- Superb knowledge of refractory installation, kiln operation & maintenance as well as preheater & cooler operations
- Familiarity with audit and inventory controls, and how they can add value to and improve an organization's operations
- A result-oriented leadership orientation with a focus on strategic management of human and technical resources
- Experience with operational improvement systems like Total Quality Management (TQM) and ISO (9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 for quality management, environmental management, and occupational health and safety, respectively).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP ERP modules like Production Planning (PP) & Plant Maintenance (PM)
- Knowledge of safety best practices to create a zero-injury workplace
- Strong people-management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and direct people from varied backgrounds towards achievement of departmental and organizational goals
- Fluency in Telugu and English
