Manages Verification and Validation teams who are responsible for black box and gray box testing of Enterprise / Client Solid State Drives and debug of failures.
Directs and coordinates engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices.
Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted, and phases of test operations.
Coordinates operational, functional and performance phases of tests.
Analyzes and interprets test data.
Prepares technical reports of for use by engineering personnel.
Responsibilities
Supervises, typically with operational focus, in area of System & Firmware Validation expertise.
Develops and establishes operational policies within area managed.
May participate in development of functional strategy.
Manages activities of a broad functional area through first level managers and exempt specialists.
Has overall responsibility for developing and administering budgets, schedules and performance standards for the organizational unit.
Manages employees that perform similar or related tasks.
Participates in the development of overall objectives and long-terms goals of the organization.
Faulty decisions would normally have a serious effect on the success of functional, divisional or company operations.
Rarely first and more frequently second level of management with human resource responsibilities.
Education & Experience
Any Bachelor/Masters degree in Engineering with Electronics/Computer background is preferred.
Minimum of 12-22 + years of work experience in Product, System and Firmware Validation are required.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in managing Verification and Validation teams and involved in the product release are required.
Should have experience on protocols like PCIe, SAS and SATA. Work experience in NVMe is preferred.
Should have experience in C, C++, SystemC and Scripting languages like Python, Tcl, etc.
Should have experience in using Agile methodology, Version Management and bug tracking tools.
