Job Description
LEAD LEGAL
Business Cement HO Unit GMC CMO Location Ahura Centre, Mumbai
Poornata Position Title of the job :- Lead (Legal)
Reports to: Function Finance & Accounts Department
Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
- Commercial Control (PAN India)
- Ensure adequate commercial controls in Cement business
- Monitor implementation of accounting policies, guidelines and accounting standards
- Prepare standardized contracts for each nature of contract IPR / Trademark and Brand Protection
- Arrange raids and legal action against spurious activity to safeguard brand value of the Company
- Ensure proper action, signing and filling of legal cases for IPR / trademark and brand protection Legal and Contingent Liability
- Ensure appropriate legal review of contracts and solicit external legal advice, as required
- Ensure proper drafting of contracts and orders for proper taxation management in contracts with vendors, service providers, suppliers, land etc.
- Vetting of related legal transactions and documents to safeguard Company s interest New Initiatives / Projects / Proposals.
- Analyse commercially and legally, the business.
- Tie Ups viability of new projects and proposals to safeguard Company interests
- Analyse new business modalities to ensure ailment of growth opportunities Process and System Improvements, Automation and Digitization
- Identify potential risk of processes, credit, vendor performance etc. and introduce systems to mitigate the impact
- Ensure automation and digitization of processes; modification / development / maintenance of Cognos BI and TM1 for P&B Statutory Review and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) in all concerned areas; make efforts to review SOPs on a timely basis and suggest areas of improvements accordingly
- Prepare SOP to ensure internal control and monitor / ensure statutory compliance System Review and Internal Control.
Ensure that proper action is taken and replies to internal auditors as well as to Management are provided.
