Fabric Sourcing Manager @ Talent Corner

Job Description

• The ideal applicant will be hands-on and have a proven track record in fabric buying, fabric technology or raw materials for a luxury fashion brand involving sourcing, development and buying materials for sampling
• Sourcing, development and purchasing of sampling fabrics and accessories for ready-to-wear collections
• Negotiate bulk prices with the suppliers
• Submit, chase and sign off lab dips for sampling
• Send new fabric development requests to overseas offices and follow up on new fabric development and SSY status
• Create and maintain a vendor base strategy management to build mill fabric and leather vendor matrix (shared w/ director and HK team)
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build, develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of raw material constructions, finishing and dyeing process
• Excellent Excel skills
• Conduct seasonal research on raw materials by attending fabric shows, mill visits, vendor visits, market research and using existing materials in the physical fabric library as needed
• Communicate and influence design and merchandising to align with fabric and sourcing strategies set by Product Development and Production leadership teams
• Meet with Brands key global fabric suppliers to gain clear understanding of future developments and competitive sourcing of fabrics
• Ensure all fabrics meet our QC requirements within appropriate timelines ensuring on time booking
