Technical Writer - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ Sunquest Information

Position Summary

We are looking for a candidate, who can work in the US Healthcare IT industry, and be able to produce high quality technical documentation and other end-user materials for our products and solutions.

Skillset Requirements

• Excellent documentation skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of software and tools for writing content, incorporating graphics, and publishing documents

• Knowledge and experience in US Healthcare/IT or any international healthcare domain is also an added advantage.

• Excellent communication skills to co-ordinate with clients and technical teams for projects.

• Organizational skills with the ability to handle various tasks, projects, and delivery schedules

• Effective time management skills

• Ability to quickly and easily assimilate new software concepts and product knowledge

• Ability to learn and translate technical information into less technical English language user-focused documentation

• Collaborative, Flexible, Team Player, amicable, proactive

Educational Requirements

• Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree in any discipline

• 2 years plus experience as a Technical Writer

Technical Requirements

• Excellent spoken and written communication in English

• Excellent Documentation Skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office

• Proven capabilities with Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Demonstrated ability in copy editing and developmental editing the work of others

• Demonstrated knowledge of software and tools for writing content, incorporating graphics, and publishing documents

• Experience with other publishing and graphics tools, such as MadCap Flare, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop, a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Researches and gathers the information required to document software products by participating in team meetings, interviewing subject matter experts, and reading and reviewing technical and user documentation

• Follows all technical publications and Sunquest procedures, standards, and style guides and work with writing peers to refine and improve

• Determines and shares documentation delivery timelines and tracks progress against product development schedule to ensure deliverables are met

• Collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of documentation

• Identifies risks and develops risk mitigation plans to meet project timelines

• Provides project coordination for multiple concurrent projects

• Collaborates with members of other departments for the benefit of users of the documentation

• All other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
