Job Title: Planning Engineer High-Rise Building Projects
Location: Lucknow
Job Type: Full-time
Experience Required: 5-15years
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Planning Engineer with expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project to manage the scheduling, resource planning, and progress tracking of high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction planning, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling & Planning:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Define project scope, objectives, and timelines for high-rise construction projects.
Monitor and update project schedules regularly to reflect actual site progress.
Resource Planning & Management:
Plan and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently.
Coordinate with procurement teams to align material deliveries with project schedules.
Forecast resource requirements to prevent bottlenecks in project execution.
Progress Tracking & Reporting:
Track project milestones and key deliverables using S-curves, histograms, and dashboards.
Generate periodic progress reports and identify potential schedule risks.
Recommend corrective actions and improvements to project timelines.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
Identify and mitigate potential delays and project risks.
Conduct critical path analysis (CPM) to optimize project schedules.
Implement strategies to recover delays and maintain project momentum.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and consultants.
Communicate schedule updates and project status to key stakeholders.
Assist in client presentations and coordination meetings.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure adherence to contract specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Maintain proper documentation of project plans, schedules, and reports.
Support in claims management by preparing delay analysis reports.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's in Construction Management is a plus).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project for scheduling and reporting.
Strong understanding of high-rise construction processes and sequencing.
Knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., CPM, EVM).
Experience:
Proven experience (X+ years) in planning high-rise building projects.
Familiarity with large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project deadlines.
Preferred Certifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
Certification in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
