Monitor inventory levels, ensuring proper stock rotation, and placing orders for ingredients and supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food storage, cleanliness, and hygiene practices.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager to develop new menu items, create daily specials, and update seasonal offerings.
Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness, ensuring all kitchen equipment is in good working condition.
Assist with menu planning, portion control, and the preparation of food for special events, banquets, and catering services (if applicable).
Manage food waste and implement cost-control measures to minimize food costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques, incorporating innovative ideas into menu offerings and presentation.
Handle customer feedback professionally, ensuring any complaints or requests are addressed promptly and appropriately.
Assist with the hiring, training, and performance management of kitchen staff.
Maintain accurate records of food preparation and inventory, ensuring cost-effective use of ingredients and supplies.
Adhere to all health, safety, and company policies and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for the kitchen team.
