Job Description:
Purpose:
*The Lead Network Engineer is responsible for implementing and managing an organizations network infrastructure. Primary purpose is to ensure that the network systemsboth hardware and softwareoperate efficiently, securely, and reliably to support the organization's IT needs
*The role will also ensure compliance to security policies within the teams scope, as well as ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery plans are fit for purpose.
Scope and Dimensions:
*The role is global: In coordination with the Group and Regional Infrastructure team.
Requirements of the job:
6-10 years of validated experience in managing, provisioning, and implementing network technologies in a large globally diverse environment including the awareness of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Proven experience in operating and troubleshooting large scale IT DATACENTER & Network systems.
Expertise in VLANs, HP and Cisco network switches.
Knowledge and experience of firewall technologies, ideally Fortinet, Cisco and Palo Alto.
Knowledge of Azure Cloud Networking technologies is preferred
Experience of managing Data Center managed services.
Experience of structured cabling (fiber and copper).
Exposure to server network connectivity, teaming, TCP/IP networking, switching and routing.
Experience with Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Change Control Processes and Network Performance Monitoring Tools.
Strong experience with technical documentation writing and maintenance.
Awareness of Information Security issues, threats and countermeasures.
Preferred experiments with transition to cloud services.
CCNA/CCNP Certified or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired

Accountabilities:
Individual accountabilities:
Implement geographically distributed WAN solutions to optimize network traffic routing and enhance performance.
Configure SDWAN/MPLS connections to ensure efficient and reliable communication between locations.
Manage Fortinet firewall configurations, including access control lists (ACLs), IPSec VPNs, and SSL VPNs etc.
Implement PaloAlto firewall policies to enforce security controls and protect against advanced threats.
Perform regular audits of firewall rules and configurations to ensure compliance with organizations security policies and industry standards.
Troubleshoot complex network issues related to SDWAN, MPLS, Fortinet, Palo Alto, WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi technologies.
Develop and maintain network documentation, Cloud Migration Strategy (AZURE), including diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor network performance metrics and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Lead network upgrade and migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Provide advanced technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff.
Shared accountabilities:
Coordinate with ICT system administrators to ensure seamless integration between network infrastructure and other IT systems.
Participate in the development and maintenance of network documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
Collaborate with IT security teams to implement and maintain network security controls, such as intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and web content filtering.
