Job Description

Interior work, or interior design, involves creating functional, attractive, and safe indoor spaces. This includes planning the layout, selecting materials, and overseeing the installation of furniture and decor.    Responsibilities
• Assess space: Evaluate how a room will be used and determine its requirements   
• Plan design: Create designs that meet the client's needs and style   
• Select materials: Choose colors, lighting, and other materials to suit the space   
• Create budget: Estimate costs and establish project schedules   
• Manage installation: Oversee the installation of furniture and decor   
• Follow regulations: Ensure designs comply with building codes and inspection regulations   
Skills and knowledge
• Design: Have strong visual design skills, including proportion and aesthetics   
• Communication: Be able to communicate well with clients and other stakeholders   
• Computer skills: Be proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office   
• Building knowledge: Have a basic understanding of building codes, health and safety issues, and structural requirements   
• Problem-solving: Be able to solve problems and organize   
• Customer service: Be able to work with clients and provide good customer service
