Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Network Management:
Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Ensure network security and connectivity.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network problems.
Security:
Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Backup and Recovery:
Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures.
Ensure data integrity and availability.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support and assistance to users.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Document and track support requests and resolutions.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Create and update user guides and training materials.
Compliance:
Ensure systems and processes comply with organizational policies and industry regulations.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other IT staff and departments to support organizational goals.
Participate in IT projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
