- JOB TITLE : ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER JOB CODE : PM 002 DEPARTMENT : Manufacturing REPORTS TO : Plant Manager/Directors JOB SUMMARY To oversee and optimize production processes, ensuring efficient manufacturing of high-quality FMCG products, meeting customer demands and company objectives. Key Responsibilities 1.Production Planning: Schedule and coordinate production to meet customer orders and inventory requirements. 2. Process Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency, reduce waste and enhance productivity. 3. Quality Control: Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations and company policies. 4. Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with procurement, logistics and warehousing teams. 5. Team Management: Supervise, train and develop production staff. 6. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee maintenance, repairs and upgrades. 7. Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a safe, healthy work environment, adhering to regulatory standards. 8. Cost Control: Optimize production costs, minimizing waste and inefficiencies. 9. Continuous Improvement: Implement improvements, innovations and industry best practices. 10. Compliance: Adhere to regulatory requirements BASIC REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, ), Operations Management or related/FMCG field. 2. 5+ years of production management experience in FMCG manufacturing. 3. Proven track record of improving efficiency, productivity and quality. 4. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and quality management systems. 6. Familiarity with FMCG industry regulations and standards. 7. Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS 1. Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Operations Management. 2. Certifications (e.g., Lean Certification). 3. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. 4. Knowledge of food safety management systems 5. SAP Integrated Work Knowledge PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS 1. Manufacturing plant environment. 2.
