Job Description
- Introduction: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Powder Metallurgist Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in materials science, specifically with experience in powder metallurgy, and will be responsible for supporting laboratory operations, conducting tests, and analyzing data related to powder metallurgy processes and materials. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and testing of powder metallurgy samples, including mixing, compaction, sintering, and other relevant processes. Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, test results, and lab notes. Operate laboratory equipment including powder presses, sintering furnaces, and ball milling. Assist with the development of new powder metallurgy materials and processing techniques. Prepare and maintain powder metallurgy samples, including mixing and blending raw powders and additives. Ensure that all lab equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Provide technical support to internal teams, offering recommendations based on lab findings. Assist in preparing reports and presentations summarizing test results and findings. Qualifications: PhD / Masters degree in engineering , chemistry with emphasis on materials science is preferred Knowledge of powder metallurgy techniques, material properties, and testing methodologies. Familiarity with laboratory equipment, such as presses, furnaces, and microscopes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of safety protocols in a laboratory setting.
