Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Reporting:

      • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
      • Ensure that all financial reports are accurate, complete, and comply with local and international accounting standards.
      • Collaborate with the accounting team for timely closure of accounts.
    2. Accounts Payable/Receivable:

      • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable process to ensure accuracy.
      • Monitor aging reports and ensure timely collection of receivables and payment of payables.
      • Assist in maintaining and improving internal control systems.
    3. General Ledger Management:

      • Ensure all journal entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
      • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
      • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
    4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

      • Support the preparation of the companys annual budget.
      • Assist in forecasting financial performance and preparing variance analysis reports.
    5. Audit and Compliance:

      • Assist in both internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
      • Ensure the company complies with all financial regulations and accounting standards.
    6. Team Leadership:

      • Supervise, guide, and mentor junior staff in the accounts department.
      • Assist in training staff on accounting software and procedures.
      • Delegate tasks and ensure team deadlines are met.
    7. Process Improvement:

      • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to efficiency enhancements within the accounting department.
      • Assist in automating financial and accounting processes.
    8. Taxation:

      • Assist in preparing tax returns and ensure timely submission.
      • Keep updated on tax regulations and ensure the companys compliance with tax laws.
