Job Description
- Job Title: Director, Accounting Overview: Strategic Leadership: Lead and oversee the accounting operations for GBS, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and global standards. Develop and execute strategies for process improvement, standardization, and automation to enhance operational efficiency. Partner with global stakeholders, including Corporate Controllership, Treasury, and Legal, to align on priorities and drive initiatives. Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP, and applicable standards. Ensure strong internal controls are in place to maintain compliance with corporate policies and external regulations. Team Management & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Set clear goals and expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and development opportunities. Drive a collaborative team environment that promotes innovation and accountability. Operational Excellence: Oversee the preparation and review of reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness. Identify and address risks in financial reporting and operations, implementing mitigation plans as needed. Evaluate and implement advanced tools and technologies to streamline accounting processes and improve accuracy. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing support across the undertaken functions. Collaborate with other GBS leaders to harmonize processes and share best practices. Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing insights into accounting operations and performance metrics.,
