Job Title: Senior Support & Operations Engineer

Location: Bangalore & Hyderabad
Work Mode: Hybrid
Compensation: As per market standards
Experience: 6-9 Years


Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Support & Operations Engineer to manage production environments, troubleshoot applications, and optimize system performance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PL/SQL, Linux, cloud technologies, scripting, and application servers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for live applications and ensure system stability.
  • Troubleshoot database, application, and server-related issues, analyzing logs and identifying root causes.
  • Optimize SQL queries and ensure database performance tuning for Oracle & MySQL.
  • Work on cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud/Azure) and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes & Docker.
  • Maintain Linux servers (bash scripting, security updates, patching).
  • Write and maintain Bash/Python scripts for automation and daily support tasks.
  • Manage Apache Tomcat application servers and deploy applications to QA, Staging, and Production environments.
  • Validate data replication across multiple databases and ensure data integrity.
  • Use API testing tools like Postman and Swagger for validating application functionality.
  • Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues in QA & Production environments.
  • Create support documentation, perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and enhance system security.

Must-Have Skills:

Database & SQL: Oracle, MySQL, PL/SQL, Performance Tuning
Cloud Technologies: Oracle Cloud / Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins (CI/CD)
Operating System & Servers: Linux (Bash scripting), Apache Tomcat
Scripting: Bash, Python
Application Support: Log analysis, troubleshooting, deployment validation
API Testing Tools: Postman, Swagger


Nice-to-Have Skills:

Reporting Tools: PowerBI, Jasper, Crystal Reports
Performance Testing: JMeter, LoadRunner
Security & System Updates: OS patching, vulnerability analysis
