Job Description
Position: Platform Engineering Leadership Role (Leading MNC IT Company)Role:
- Lead the Platform Engineering Practice for the organisation
- Develop the strategic vision and transformation roadmap for Platform Engineering
- Provide strong technical expertise to the team including architecture, design, and code reviews
- Have a global mindset and work with a cross-functional global team
- Define success metrics and SLAs, as well as tracking them toward agreed targets
- Develop roadmaps and execution plans to meet business objectives with existing or emerging technologies by partnering with stakeholders internationally and leveraging fungible skills
- Provide resource plans, budget tracking and forecasting
- Lead and manage the team
- Instil best practices for software development, service execution and operational excellence
- Drive for engineering excellence including automation, quality, efficiency, and productivity
- Foster innovation and leverage new technologies. Keep track of the industry development in big data, high-performance distributed data systems, etc.
Requirements:
- Candidate will be a hands-on, business-oriented leader who has a proved track record of successfully leading platform engineering teams and capable of leading and building a global organization and trusted valued relationships
- A senior leader with prior experience in driving synergies with external and internal clients, leading platform engineering practice and partnering with global development centers
- Experience of working in technology leadership roles encompassing product development, engineering, systems architecture, and technical operations
- Experience of operating in a high paced, regulated environment and the ability to effectively lead in a highly matrixed organization
- S/he should be comfortable in setting aggressive targets, making difficult decisions, and holding individuals accountable for set goals
- 18+ yrs of experience
- Should have experience in the BFSI domain, ideally in a global IT Product Company/ Captive
- Experience in working in a globally distributed organisation
- Prior experience of leading a technology organization at scale
- Technological expertise with proven track record in being of being a Subject Matter Expert
- Business strategy formulation and execution experience
- Experience of Internal/ Client management role
- Candidate should have demonstratable leadership skills
- Strong commercial acumen, execution capability and effective communication skills
