Job Description
We are looking to hire a knowledgeable Piping Designer to aid us in our various construction ventures. As our Piping Designer, you would be responsible for drawing up plans for different piping and plumbing projects.
Responsibilities
Design an effective plumbing/piping system sufficient for the needs and load put on it by the particular project.
Create detailed models and drawings of your design to be referenced in the creation of the plumbing system.
Work closely with other team members (builders, planners, etc.) to ensure the piping meets the needs of the project, remains within the set budget, and is completed in the time allotted to it.
Effectively select the needed materials and parts for the project.
Deliver persuasive proposals and presentations regarding the project.
Continually monitor completed systems to ensure they remain functional. Make modifications to the systems as necessary.
Ensure that all applicable regulations are accounted for in the designs for the project.
Requirements
A degree in a related field such as science and/or engineering
Previous experience working as a Piping Designer is appreciated
Highly analytical with a problem-solving mind
Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Excellent team-building skills
