Job Description
- We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Technical Writer to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for writing and technology who are eager to build a career in technical documentation. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. Experience: 6 months - 3 Years Location: Calicut (work from office) Responsibilities: Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, manuals, FAQs, and API documentation. Document APIs, including request/response formats, authentication methods, and endpoint details. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and understand technical information. Simplify complex concepts into easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience. Ensure consistency and clarity in documentation by following style guides and best practices. Conduct research on industry trends and documentation standards to enhance content quality. Assist in organizing and structuring content for knowledge bases and help centers. Proofread and review documentation to eliminate errors and improve readability. Work closely with the development team to document product features and updates. Requirements: Strong command of the English language with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Understanding of technical concepts and ability to learn new technologies quickly. Ability to document APIs, including endpoints, request/response formats, and usage examples. Familiarity with documentation tools such as MS Word, Google Docs, Markdown, or Confluence. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills (Good to Have): Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or basic coding principles. (is a plus) Experience with version control systems like Git. Exposure to API documentation tools like Swagger or Postman. Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
