Job Description
Summary:
The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will be part of the IT Innovation team that will be responsible for solving business problems leveraging new and innovative technology. In this role, you will be responsible for working in a cross functional team to understand the business problem and iterate through the problem until you have a working proof of concept that can be piloted
- Work with stakeholders (product owners, scrum masters and Architect) to define and clarify requirements.
- Hands-on development with both front-end and back-end programming.
- Ability to keep informed of industry trends and technologies.
- Ability to break down complex requirements into specific work items.
- Implement and carry out unit testing.
- Work with DevOps team to ensure product can be automatically built, deployed and tested using a CI/CD pipelines across all of the release cycles from dev to production.
- Strong grasp of modern security principles and how to apply them to applications
- Degree in Computer Science, technical field or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven ability to develop resilient code that performs, and scales based on application usage.
- 5+ years of experience building RESTful web services using NodeJS, ExpressJS or restify.
- 5+ years of experience in web application development using JavaScript and JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Have a basic understanding JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, JSON and REST based applications.
- Experience/Familiarity with RDBMS or NoSQL Database technologies like MongoDB, ComosDB and MS SQL.
- Experience with Unit Testing Frameworks like AVA, Mocha and Jasmine.
- Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git or Visual Studio Team Services.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a distributed and global environment.
- Understanding of building applications deployed in the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) leveraging PaaS Services.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of people
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in writing code using Object Oriented JavaScript.
- Basic understanding of Microservice or RESTful architecture.
- Experience in building chatbot using Microsoft Bot Framework SDK or any other Bot Builder tools.
- Experience in implementing CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Atom or Eclipse.
- Experience in JS-based build /Package tools likeGrunt,Gulp, Bower, Webpack and NPM
