Job Description
1. Job Purpose
This versatile role will combine both emergency as well as general care nursing duties and will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their diagnostic journey, providing care and maintaining a safe and efficient diagnostic environment.
1. Key Accountabilities

Major Activities / Tasks
I. Emergency Care
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the diagnostic center (e.g., allergic reactions, fainting episodes).
- Assess patients' vital signs and administer basic life support as needed.
- Maintain emergency equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with physicians and paramedics to provide optimal emergency care.
II. General Care
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining procedures, obtaining informed consent, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Assist physicians and radiologists during diagnostic procedures (e.g., X-rays, ultrasounds).
- Monitor patients during and after procedures, addressing any discomfort or concerns.
- Administer medications and provide basic nursing care as prescribed.
- Collect and prepare patient specimens (e.g. sputum collection etc) for analysis, following established protocols.
- Educate patients about their diagnostic procedures and answer their questions.
III. Communication and Collaboration
- Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
1. Skills & Knowledge
Educational qualifications:
B.Sc/M.Sc in Nursing; Strong understanding of respiratory anatomy and physiology
Minimum 5 - 6 Years of experience
Communication Skills should be excellent
