Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Cloud Database Management:
  
• Manage cloud databases (AWS RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, etc.) for high availability, scalability, and performance.
  
• Ensure regular maintenance of cloud-based databases, including updates, patches, backups, and monitoring.
  
• Database Architecture & Design:
  
• Design and implement database solutions on AWS or Azure, ensuring alignment with application needs and long-term scalability.
  
• Migrate on-premise databases to the cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  
• Provide solutions for disaster recovery and business continuity on cloud platforms.
  
• Performance Tuning:
  
• Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshooting issues related to query performance, indexing, and database design.
  
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks within cloud environments to maintain efficient system operations.
